Anitra Quinn, PhD

Trained as a school psychologist, Dr. Anitra Quinn completed her PhD at Mississippi State University (MSU). She also holds a Master of Science degree in School Psychology (MSU) & a Master of Arts in Gerontology from the University of Louisiana, Monroe. With expertise in child psychopathology, stress-management, anger management, depression, anxiety, trauma, and crisis intervention/suicide prevention, Dr. Quinn implements best practices to bring about positive change. Dr. Quinn has established a legacy of clinical and academic excellence, with a host of National presentations to her credit. Dr. Quinn is an Amazon Bestselling Author and renowned speaker with a genuine heart for people and community. Dr. Quinn’s passion for helping others coupled with her desire to see people live their lives to the fullest is the driving force behind her practice. Dr. Quinn employs client-centered approach coupled with an emphasis on empirically sound strategies to help clients reach their goals.

Among her other accomplishments, Dr. Quinn was named the National “Difference Maker of the Year” by the Women in Need Foundation (WIN), she was the founding strategist behind the community/school initiative, Village Builders, she spearheaded efforts to establish school/community partnerships geared towards addressing challenges such as community health fairs, and family education programs to community-wide suicide and bullying prevention initiatives, and was awarded the Avis Van Ruthven Service Award, by the Mississippi State University School Psychology Department. An international speaker, dedicated to empowering others with knowledge and know-how, Quinn was also named the State Spokesperson on Domestic Violence for the state of Mississippi by the National Women in Need (WIN) Foundation. Happily married to her best friend, Travis, the couple have two boys. When not serving clients, Dr. Quinn can be found serving in ministry as a local Pastor alongside her husband or engaging in community service activities as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and the Houston Lady Lions Club.
